328i, specifically. Beautiful condition, lovely paint, buuuuut it’s got 177k miles and they’re asking $5,500... For me, NP regardless. But have a look for yourself. What say thee?

Not an asking price, it’s an entry fee for a pay as you go experience.

Seems high to me but it’s a nice car. I would feel better at 4k.

Just squeaks into tentative NP territory because of the sport seats

If you’re comfortable with the mileage, NP all day.

Nope nope nope. 177k is “beater” territory for me, and I have no desire to replace the thousands of tiny little things that either are broken or will break as soon as I drive it home.

It’s NP. Between the overall condition, the bigger engine, and the stick; the miles aren’t weighing down the price as much. Worse off 323 wagons price around $3-5000.

Mileage is a bit scary for the price, but that is definitely on my list for next car territory. E46 touring AWD with a stick would be pretty ideal, not enough power to get me in trouble, enough wheels turning to go up to the mountains, enough space to go camping or even sleep in the back on road trips.

Seems well cared-for, and good if he has good records of maintenance. I still say that’s pretty highly priced for the mileage. Also, rarity doesn’t necessarily translate to value. People do ask a lot for these wagons, but the ads stay up for a long time, and I wonder where the final sale price ends up.

That’s a 325, not a 328 though. I believe the 2.8 engine was carried over from the e36 in 1999-2000, was never offered in wagons in the States, and got replaced by the 3.0 in 2001.

Best of luck in your wagon search. I looked for one a few years ago and ended up with a 330 sedan. Wagons usually have a lot higher mileage, I assume because a wagon buyer is intent on using the car in a more utilitarian manner.

I’ll leave this here for you just in case you feel like a road trip:

So I read this post this morning and proceeded to research BMW wagons on my local Craigslist here in Colorado. More than a few specimens but nothing as nice as this!
